About Me

Hi, I’m Chelsea—nonprofit professional, public servant, mom, and creator of ProjectPlaydates.com. For over 13 years, I’ve worked in nonprofit and local government spaces, managing programs, operations, and initiatives that empower and support underrepresented communities. I’ve always been driven by a belief in equity, education, and the power of human connection.

But as a mom, I found myself facing a familiar challenge at home: too much screen time and not enough meaningful, creative engagement with my kids. I wanted our time together to feel more intentional—to spark curiosity, build memories, and nurture creativity rather than consume content passively.

That search led me to start ProjectPlaydates.com—a growing repository of simple, screen-free activities designed to bring families together through crafts, imagination, and play. What began as a personal mission to reconnect with my own family has grown into a community resource for parents looking to do the same.

Let’s make creativity our family’s favorite tradition.

With a background in administration, communications, and project management, I bring my professional skills into this space with passion and purpose. I’m a high-producing collaborator, lifelong learner, and enthusiastic creativity advocate—inviting families to slow down, make something with their hands, and rediscover the joy of being together.

Whether you’re here for a five-minute craft or inspiration for a more intentional family rhythm, I’m so glad you’re part of this journey.
